Summary:
The Division of Digestive Diseases is conducting a clinical study to assess the long-term outcomes (benefits and risks) associated with entecavir (ETV) therapy as compared to other hepatitis B medication approved for the treatment of chronic HBV infection.

Criteria for Participation:
• Patients must be at least 18 years of age
• Have chronic hepatitis B infection
• Not be co-infected with HIV
• Have never been treated with entecavir
• Not be pregnant or breast-feeding
